S & B Engineers and Constructors Scholarship

The S&B Engineers Brookshire Scholarship is awarded to a full-time junior or senior at LSU enrolled in the College of Engineering who has and maintains a combined coursework and employment workload of 30 or more hours and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preferential consideration given to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Other considerations in selecting recipients may include financial need, first-generation college attendance, and veteran status. Students holding a scholarship benefiting dependents of employees of the S&B Engineering and Constructors family of companies are not eligible for the Scholarship.

Work Verification Letter must include:
• Current, dated letter from supervisor on company letterhead
• Name of employer & job responsibilities
• Employment start date & anticipated end date (if applicable)
• Exact number of hours worked per week (if a range is submitted, the median number of hours will be used; ex: for a range of 12-15 hours, 13.5 hours would be used)
• Supervisor’s signature
• Supervisor’s email address and direct phone number

If you have more than one employer, you must have a work verification letter for each place of employment. These may be uploaded separately or as one PDF document. It is your responsibility to ensure that your document(s) includes the information listed above.
