The Baton Rouge Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Veterinary Medicine is awarded to full-time students entering their second year or above, who are pursuing a degree in the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Recipients must be graduates of a Louisiana high school and demonstrate high scholastic ability, with consideration given to their financial need. However, special consideration will be given to students who have participated in activities during their first year that develop responsibility, leadership, citizenship, and professionalism.
