ExxonMobil Engineering Scholarship
The Exxonmobil Engineering Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students at Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College enrolled in the College of Engineering. The recipients must show an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 for all academic work. Incoming freshmen must have an academically superior background and must have graduated in the top 25% of their high school graduating class, although the top 10% is preferable. A test score of at least 26 on the ACT is preferred, but may be set aside if other compelling experiences convince the dean of the College of Engineering or his representatives that the student can compete academically at LSU. Continuing students must have a GPA of 3.0 for all college-level work to be considered for a scholarship and to receive ongoing awards. If a recipient’s overall GPA falls below 3.0, the student will be placed on a one-semester probation before being terminated from the program. Preferential consideration is given to students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation college students, and those who have demonstrated the ability to overcome adversity. Recipients of the scholarship shall be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
