John D. Rhoades Leadership Scholarship Fund

The John D. Rhoades Leadership Scholarship is awarded to full-time veterinary medical students at LSU, enrolled in the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The recipient must demonstrate academic excellence (minimum GPA of 3.0), work positively in a group, be an effective communicator, motivate others to work toward a common goal, and be dedicated to the basic principles set forth by the veterinary oath.

The recipients will be chosen based on written nominations from peers. These nominations should describe the nominees’ qualities and activities that qualify them for this award. The letter must be signed by the person making the nomination. Letters are to be screened by the Pet Fare advisors, with the final decision being made by the Awards and Honors Committee.
