Pineda Family Scholarship

The Pineda Family Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students at LSU enrolled or intending to enroll in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Preferential consideration is given to residents of the West Bank of New Orleans, including but not limited to Algiers, Avondale, Barataria, Bridge City, Crown Point, Estelle, Gretna, Harvey, Jean Lafitte, Marrero, Nine Mile Point, Terry Town, Timberlane, Waggaman, Westwego, and Woodmere. If the primary residency criteria cannot be met, additional preferential considerations, in order of priority, are: residents of Orleans or the East Bank of Jefferson Parish, students who are demographically underrepresented in the College, or students with documented socioeconomic or educational disadvantages.
